1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is CAPTIA TECHNOLOGY S.L., CIF B55399489, with its registered office at Calle Jesús Sáez Ramírez 1-7, 46360 Buñol (Valencia) and its operating office at Ronda Séquia de Meses 18, 46800 Xàtiva (Valencia). Contact for data protection matters: energy@captiatechnology.com and +34 611 99 36 13. The owner's full details are in the legal notice.

2. Purposes and legal bases

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

a) Handling requests for information and quotes

When you write to us through the website form, by phone or by WhatsApp, we process the contact and enquiry details you give us to reply, prepare the study or quote you ask for and manage the relationship prior to a possible contract. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6.1.a of the GDPR) and pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Article 6.1.b of the GDPR).

This website does not store the data you send through the form: it is passed on to our team for handling and is not kept on the website itself.

b) Monitoring of customers' installations

If you are a customer of the monitoring service, we continuously track the production and consumption data of your photovoltaic installation to detect anomalies, alert you when something drifts from normal and plan maintenance. This data can reflect the consumption habits of your home, which is why this processing is set out and detailed in the service contract. Legal basis: performance of that contract (Article 6.1.b of the GDPR).

3. Data retention

Data from requests for information is kept for as long as needed to deal with them and then for the limitation periods of any liability that could arise. Data linked to a contract is kept while the relationship remains in force and, once it ends, for the periods required by Spanish commercial, tax and contractual liability rules. Once those periods have passed, the data is deleted.

4. Recipients

We do not pass your data to third parties, except where the law requires it or a competent authority demands it. To process your installation with councils, the electricity distributor, the industry department of the regional government (GVA) and other bodies, we share only the data strictly needed to manage your file, always within the scope of the service you have contracted. The technology providers that support our systems act as data processors, under a contract compliant with Article 28 of the GDPR.

5. Your rights

You can at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw any consent you have given without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out before. To do so, write to energy@captiatechnology.com stating the right you are exercising and enclosing something that allows us to verify your identity.

If you believe your data is not being handled as the rules require, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, or through its online office at www.aepd.es.

6. Updates to this policy

This policy may be updated if the processing or the applicable rules change. The version in force is always the one published on this page. For the use of cookies on this site, see the cookie policy. For any question, you can use the contact page.
