Recover my paperworkCall us

If the company that fitted your panels has closed or stopped answering, we rebuild the file for €149 including VAT: we request copies in your name, order whatever exists and tell you in writing what does not exist and how to replace it. If the certificate is the only thing missing, the duplicate is €79 plus a €10.50 official fee.

What we solve

«I have no paperwork at all for the panels and I do not know where to start.» That is how almost everyone who lands here begins. Below are the situations where it comes up.

When it is needed

  • The installer closed down or has disappeared.
  • You bought or inherited a home with panels and no folder.
  • You lost the installation certificate or the technical report.
  • You are planning a change and need to know what you are starting from.
  • You are selling the property and the paperwork is being asked for.

What happens if you leave it

  • Any later work is quoted blind and can get more expensive once the real state of things shows up.
  • When you sell or let the property, missing paperwork appears in the worst possible week.
  • A document that was never submitted cannot be recovered, and the later you find out, the dearer it is to redo.

What it costs and what you are buying

These are two different jobs and you do not always need both. The first looks for everything that exists about your installation; the second requests one specific copy once we know that document was registered.

Separately, what the authorities charge

  • Issue of duplicates of official documents, heading 4.10 of the fee in force in 2026€10.50Generalitat Valenciana, regional department responsible for industry · Generalitat Valenciana, procedimiento 22198, expedición de duplicados de documentos oficiales en materia de industria, epígrafe 4.10 de la tasa vigente en 2026 · verified on

Paid on your behalf, receipt issued in your name. It is not our revenue.

Who else can do this, besides us

As the holder you can request these copies yourself. We say so here because in some cases it is the better option for you, and because knowing it before you pay is part of the deal.

  • Request the copies yourself from the authorities and your grid operator.

If you have time and know which document to look for and which registry holds it. The route exists and is open to the holder.

    Your own time

  • Ask the installer who carried out the work.

If the company is still trading. It is the fastest route and carries no charge.

    No charge

  • Buy only the duplicate of the certificate.

If you know the certificate is the only thing missing and that it was registered. Rebuilding the whole file would be paying over the odds.

    €89.50

  • File it yourself on the regional government portal.

If you hold a digital certificate and can find the file reference. You would pay only the official fee.

What rebuilding the file includes and what it does not

What is included

  • An inventory of everything you send us.
  • Searching for and requesting copies through every legally available channel, acting as your representative.
  • Ordering everything recovered into a digital record.
  • Identifying the documents that cannot be recovered and the ways of replacing them.
  • A route map with what is missing and the order in which to solve it.

One round of revisions included

What is not included

  • Issuing new technical documents.
  • The official fees for duplicates, where there are any.
  • Legalising any defects found along the way.
  • Any guarantee of recovering documents that do not exist or are not accessible.

What falls outside is covered by: regularising panels that were never legalised, maintenance and taking over the installation.

Where this service stops

  • It does not include the official fees for duplicates, where the authority charges them. You are told the amount beforehand and we pay it in your name.
  • It does not include issuing new technical documents: if a document never existed, it has to be produced, and that is a separate service.
  • If the search shows the file was never submitted, the case moves to regularisation and a written extension is issued.

If the certificate is the only thing missing

«I know the certificate exists, I just cannot find it anywhere.» When the document is on record, nothing has to be redone: a copy is requested. We check that it exists before filing anything, and if it is not on record, our fee stops and is refunded.

Paid on your behalf, receipt issued in your name. It is not our revenue.

What is included

  • A prior check that a registered certificate exists and can be duplicated.
  • Preparing and filing the duplicate request through the applicable procedure, in your name.
  • Paying the official fee on your behalf, with the receipt issued in your name.
  • Following the request up.
  • Digital delivery of the document and filing in your record.

What is not included

  • Issuing a new certificate.
  • Any correction to the installation itself.
  • Public fees other than the duplicate fee, should the authority require them.
  • Any guarantee that a registered document exists to be duplicated.

What stops being a fixed price

  • The €79 is our fee. The official €10.50 fee is paid in your name, sits outside our price and comes with a receipt in your name.
  • If the certificate was never registered there is no duplicate to request: the service stops and our fee is refunded in full.
  • It does not include issuing a new certificate or any correction to the installation.

How it works, step by step

Cards with a solid border are our work and carry a turnaround. Dashed cards are waits on an authority: that timing is theirs and we do not commit to it.

  1. Step 1Your part

You send us your details, the address and the CUPS code, upload whatever you still have and sign the letter of representation.

We need: Identity document, CUPS supply code and the signed letter of representation.
  2. Step 2We do this

We inventory what you sent and decide which channels and which archives have to be searched.

    Our turnaround: 2 working days

Counted from: The moment the signed letter of representation reaches us.

We do not promise: Finding paperwork that does not exist or is not legally accessible.

  3. Step 3We do this

We file the copy requests through every available channel and follow them up.

    Our turnaround: 3 working days

Counted from: The moment the inventory is closed.

We do not promise: A response date from an archive or an authority.

  4. Step 4Depends on the regional Industry office

The archive or the authority replies with whatever is on record. That timing is theirs.

The timing is set by the authority. We do not commit to it.

  5. Step 5We do this

We classify everything and hand you the ordered folder, the missing-documents report and the route map.

    Our turnaround: 2 working days

Counted from: The moment the authorities' replies arrive.

We do not promise: That the folder ends up complete: it may be complete, or it may be proven that pieces are missing.

What we need from you

Without the first three there is no search to run, because registries only release copies to the holder or to someone who evidences representation.

  • Required

Identity or company tax document of the holder, and evidence of standing

Registries only release copies to the holder or to someone who evidences representation. Without that there is no search to run.

  • Required

Full address and CUPS supply code

These are the two keys used to find a file in an administrative archive.

  • Required

    Signed letter of representation

It lets us request copies in your name. We prepare it and you only have to sign it.

  • Helps, but not required

Any file number, reference or document you still keep

A single old reference can save half a day of searching. If you have nothing, the service still makes sense.

  • Helps, but not required

Name of the company that did the work and the approximate year

It narrows down the archive and the procedure the search has to follow.

For the duplicate certificate, the letter of representation also carries an express mandate to pay the official fee in your name. We prepare it and you only sign it.

What you get at the end

Every deliverable also states what it is not. A paperwork service that does not spell out its limits ends in an argument about what the client thought they had bought.

  • An ordered folder with the paperwork recovered

It is not a legalised file: it is what exists, gathered and put in order.

  • A missing-documents report, with what does not exist and why

It is not a failed service. Knowing that a document was never submitted is the result that stops you looking for something that is not there.

  • A route map with the order in which to solve what is missing

It is not a binding quote for work whose scope cannot be determined yet.

How long it takes: our time and the authorities' time

Our turnaround

5 working days

Counted from: The moment we hold your identity document, the CUPS supply code and the signed letter of representation.

What this turnaround does not cover

  • Finding paperwork that does not exist or is not legally accessible.
  • A response date from an archive or an authority.
  • That the installation ends up legalised: this gathers paperwork, it does not close files.

What depends on third parties

  • Regional Industry office

A copy of whatever is held in the registered file.

No date commitment on our side.

  • Your grid operator

Confirmation of the self-consumption details registered for the CUPS code.

No date commitment on our side.

  • Your town hall

A copy of the works notification or licence, where there was one.

No date commitment on our side.

We commit to filing a complete application and following it through. The decision date is set by the authority, not by us, so we do not promise it.

Special cases

There are situations where the standard scope stops. In all of them we tell you in writing before going on, with what the right route would cost.

  • If it turns out the file was never submitted, the standard scope stops: that is not recovery, it is regularisation.
  • If the applicant's standing is unclear, for instance in an unsettled inheritance, work stops until it is resolved.
  • If the prior check shows no registered certificate, the service stops and the fee is refunded.
  • If the document is in a previous holder's name and the chain has to be evidenced, work stops until standing is resolved.

We work across the Valencia region and both services are handled remotely: we do not need to be at your house to request copies in your name. If you also want somebody to look at the installation, that part is handled from maintenance.

Common mistakes

  • Writing the certificate off without checking whether it exists

Ordering a new certificate before checking whether the original was ever registered is the most expensive way to solve this. The prior check is the first thing we do.

  • Assuming that working panels are registered panels

Working and being registered are different things. There are installations producing for years with nothing on record in any registry.

  • Requesting copies without settled standing

Registries only release paperwork to the holder or to someone evidencing representation. In an unsettled inheritance, the request stops before it starts.

Frequently asked questions

What if you find nothing?

Then we hand you the evidence that nothing is on record, plus the route map for rebuilding it. Knowing that the file was never submitted is what stops you spending months chasing a document that does not exist.

Can I not request it myself?

Yes. As the account holder you can request copies from the authorities and from your grid operator. What you buy here is someone who knows which archive to write to, asks on your behalf and hands it back in order.

Source: Ley 39/2015, de 1 de octubre, del Procedimiento Administrativo Común de las Administraciones Públicas, art. 5. Checked on .

What documents do I need to start?

Your ID or company tax number as the holder, the full address and the CUPS supply code, and a signed letter of representation, which we prepare for you. Any old reference you still keep speeds the search up considerably.

How long does it take?

Five working days of our own work. Whatever each archive then takes to answer is set by the authority and we do not commit to it: that can add weeks, and we say so from the start.

What is the most common mistake?

Assuming that if the panels work they must be registered. Working and being registered are different things, and there are installations producing for years with nothing on record anywhere.

Source: Real Decreto 244/2019, de 5 de abril, por el que se regulan las condiciones administrativas, técnicas y económicas del autoconsumo de energía eléctrica, art. 19. Checked on .

What exactly does it cost, and what is each part?

€79 including VAT for our fee, and €10.50 for the official regional fee. The two figures stay separate: the fee is not our income, we pay it on your behalf and the receipt is issued in your name.

Source: Generalitat Valenciana, procedimiento 22198, expedición de duplicados de documentos oficiales en materia de industria, epígrafe 4.10 de la tasa vigente en 2026. Checked on .

Can I do it myself and pay only the fee?

Yes, if you have a digital certificate and can find the file reference. It would cost you €10.50. The €79 buys someone else finding it, filing it and following it up.

What if the certificate never existed?

We check before filing anything. If no registered certificate exists, we stop, refund our fee in full and tell you what is next: issuing a new certificate or regularising the whole file.

Does the duplicate say my installation is fine today?

No. It is a copy of the document that was registered at the time. If the inverter was swapped or panels were added since, the duplicate describes something that no longer exists, and that is a different problem.

Tell us what you still have and we will tell you where to start

With the address, the CUPS code from your bill and however much or little you kept, we can tell whether this is a search for copies, a single duplicate or a file that was never submitted. A Captia Technology company. Chartered engineers.
