Moixent has its own municipal ordinance for grid-connected solar self-consumption installations, published within the town hall's book of ordinances. Its article 4 separates installations of 10 kW or under, which go with a technical design report and drawings, a basic safety study and a waste management study, from larger ones, which need a signed-off project and a certificate from the site manager. The technical report must be signed by a low-voltage installer in section D, qualification 0, category 9 (generating installations), and proof of that accreditation must be attached. Also required: a detailed quote, whose value before VAT sets the ICIO tax base, a structural safety certificate for the roof, neighbours' consent when the installation sits in a shared area and, if it belongs to a local energy community, the paperwork setting it up along with its list of members. Articles 3.3 and 6.2 take properties in the Catálogo municipal de Bienes y Espacios Protegidos (the local register of protected buildings) and those within a BIC area out of the declaración responsable regime: these need a building licence, a landscape integration study and authorisation from the Conselleria de Cultura (art. 35 of the Llei 4/1998 del Patrimoni Cultural Valencià).

Article 11 of the ICIO ordinance discounts 95% of the part of the bill for work that fits a solar thermal or electric system. The ICIO rate in Moixent is 2.96%, and it is settled directly with the town hall.

For properties in the Catálogo municipal de Bienes y Espacios Protegidos, or within the protected area of a Bien de Interés Cultural, article 6.2 requires a building licence instead of a declaración responsable, a landscape integration study signed by a professional, and authorisation from the Conselleria de Cultura.
Moixent's ordinance covers this expressly: when the installation belongs to a local energy community, you must also provide the paperwork proving it was set up, along with its list of members. It is worth having this ready before filing the declaración responsable.
