You have changed something and the paperwork says otherwise

If you have added a battery, swapped the inverter, added panels or want to change your self-consumption mode, your file no longer describes the real installation. We update it and submit the modification to the regional industry authority. Five cases, each with a published price, from €349 including VAT. We check yours before charging.

  • Qualified, chartered engineers
  • Price and scope in writing before we charge
  • Filing and follow-up, with a receipt

What we solve

Your installation's file describes specific equipment and a specific power rating. As soon as those change, it stops matching what is on the roof, and that gap shows up at the worst moment: a sale, a fault or a formal request from the authority. Start from the sentence that sounds like yours.

SOL-17

You have added a battery

If you add a battery, the file has to keep telling the truth about the installation. We review what changes and update the documentation and whichever procedure applies.

Price from

from €449

VAT included

What it depends on

  • Whether the battery is AC coupled or DC coupled, because the file changes.
  • Whether the inverter is also replaced with a hybrid one.
  • Whether the modification alters the power, the mode or the connection point.
  • Whether the case includes backup during grid outages, which adds paperwork.
  • Whether the original file is incomplete and has to be rebuilt before it can be modified.
See what my battery needs

Our turnaround: 5 working days. Counted from acceptance of the quote with the battery's technical documentation complete. What that turnaround does not cover: A decision date from the authority. The battery's installation certificate: it is issued by the company that carries out the work. That the original file is complete before we have seen it.

What is included

  • Review of how the battery affects your file.
  • Classification of the storage architecture, to know which modification applies.
  • Update of the technical report and the diagram within the standard scope.
  • Preparation and filing of the modification where it applies.
  • Follow-up until we have the filing receipt.

What is not included

  • The battery and its installation.
  • Physically changing the inverter.
  • A full technical project if the case requires one.
  • Additional access and connection permits if they turn out to be required.
  • Inspection by an authorised control body.
  • The installation certificate, which is for the installation company that carries out the work to issue.

When the service counts as delivered: The updated file is delivered and the modification is filed where the case requires it.

What does not make it delivered

  • The authority registering the modification on a particular date.
  • The battery working the way you expected: that is the installation, not the file.
  • The installer issuing their certificate.

SOL-18

You have changed the inverter

Changing the inverter does not end when the system starts producing again. We update the file so that installed equipment and paperwork match once more.

Price from

from €399

VAT included

What it depends on

  • Whether the new inverter is equivalent in power and characteristics or the sizing changes.
  • Whether a battery is also added, the mode changes or the registered power changes.
  • Whether the manufacturer's technical documentation for the installed model is available or has to be gathered.
  • Whether the original file is incomplete and has to be rebuilt before it can be modified.
Pre-validate my inverter before fitting it

Our turnaround: 5 working days. Counted from acceptance of the quote with the new inverter's technical documentation complete. What that turnaround does not cover: A decision date from the authority. The installation certificate for the replacement: it is issued by the company that carries it out. That a model is acceptable before we have seen its technical documentation.

What is included

  • Pre-validation of the inverter model and its technical documentation before fitting, when you ask us in time.
  • Review of equivalence and power against the original equipment.
  • Update of the single-line diagram and the technical documentation.
  • Handling of the standard modification of the file.
  • Follow-up until we have the filing receipt.

What is not included

  • Supply of the inverter.
  • The labour of the replacement.
  • Additional changes of power or mode, which are quoted separately.
  • A full technical project if the case requires one.
  • The installation certificate, which is for the company carrying out the replacement.

When the service counts as delivered: The updated technical documentation is delivered and the modification of the file is submitted.

What does not make it delivered

  • The authority registering the modification on a particular date.
  • The inverter working: that is the installation, not the file.
  • The company carrying out the replacement issuing their certificate.

SOL-19

You have added more panels

If you add panels, we first review what changes in power, inverter and self-consumption mode. Then we update the documentation as a modification, when that is the right procedure.

Price from

from €449

VAT included

What it depends on

  • Whether the final power stays at 10 kW or below: above that the procedure changes and the service becomes a full technical project.
  • Whether the inverter accepts the new modules or has to be changed, because then the equipment modification comes in too.
  • Whether the starting installation has a complete file or documentation has to be rebuilt before anything is modified.
  • Whether the extension forces a review of the exemption from access and connection permits.
Review my extension

Our turnaround: 5 working days. Counted from us having the complete file and the certificate for the extension as built. What that turnaround does not cover: The date on which the authority registers the modification. That the extension is possible while keeping the final power below the 10 kW threshold. Your installer's timescale for carrying out and certifying the work.

What is included

  • Review of the resulting final power and confirmation that it stays below the 10 kW threshold.
  • Check of whether the extension affects the exemption from access and connection permits.
  • Update of the installation's technical documentation.
  • Filing of the modification under whichever procedure applies.
  • Follow-up of the file until it is closed administratively.

What is not included

  • Modules, mounting, cabling and labour for the extension.
  • A full technical project if the final power crosses the threshold that requires one.
  • Access and connection permits where they are required by mode, power or location.
  • Changing the inverter, which is a separate modification with its own scope.
  • Corrective electrical work in the consumer unit or the protections.

When the service counts as delivered: The modification is submitted to the authority and you are given the filing receipt.

What does not make it delivered

  • The authority registering the modification on a particular date.
  • The decision being favourable.
  • Your installer keeping to their build schedule.

SOL-15

You want to start exporting to the grid

If your installation is on zero export and you want to start getting value from the surplus, we check whether the change is feasible and update the mode.

Price from

from €349

VAT included

What it depends on

  • If a new installation certificate or technical report has to be issued, the work moves up to the technical level, from 549 €.
  • If the existing anti-export system has to be worked on.
  • If the power or the location require checking access and connection permits.
  • If the installation carries documentary inconsistencies predating the change of mode.
Check whether I can change mode

Our turnaround: 5 working days. Counted from acceptance of the quote, which is only issued after checking feasibility and scope. What that turnaround does not cover: A decision date from the authority, or an update date from the distribution company. That you start being paid for surplus: changing mode and signing up for compensation are two different things. That the change is feasible before we have checked it in your case.

What is included

  • Review of whether the change of mode is administratively feasible.
  • Check of whether access and connection permits are required for your power and location.
  • Preparation of the standard modification of the file.
  • Documentary update within scope.
  • Filing and follow-up.

What is not included

  • Hardware and reprogramming of the anti-export system.
  • Access and connection permits where they are required.
  • A full technical project if the case requires one.
  • Activation of surplus compensation, which is contracted separately or inside the technical pack.
  • A new installation certificate or technical report, which move the work up to the technical level.

When the service counts as delivered: The change of mode is submitted and the filing receipt is delivered.

What does not make it delivered

  • The authority registering the change on a particular date.
  • The distribution company updating its systems.
  • You starting to be paid for surplus, which also requires signing up for compensation.

SOL-16

You want to stop exporting

We adapt the administrative side of your installation to work without export and, if hardware is needed, we quote it separately before starting.

Price from

from €349

VAT included

What it depends on

  • This price is engineering and filing only. The anti-export device, its installation, its metering and its configuration are quoted separately and can be half of the total spend.
  • If the inverter already limits export out of the box, there is no hardware to add and the work stays at the floor of the range.
  • If conformity documentation for the anti-export system has to be gathered, the documentary work grows.
  • If the file carries earlier inconsistencies, they have to be resolved before modifying it.
See what my system needs in order not to export

Our turnaround: 5 working days. Counted from the technical side being resolved and the conformity documentation being available. What that turnaround does not cover: A decision date from the authority. The price of the anti-export device before we know which inverter you have. That the change pays off financially: that is your decision, not a promise of ours.

What is included

  • Documentary review of the current file.
  • Definition of what your case requires in order to work without export.
  • Standard administrative modification of the file.
  • Documentary verification of the anti-export system within scope.
  • Filing and follow-up.

What is not included

  • Supply and installation of the anti-export device.
  • Cabling, meter and configuration of the device.
  • A full technical project if the case requires one.
  • Inspection by an authorised control body.
  • Any physical work on the installation.

When the service counts as delivered: The modification of the file is submitted and the filing receipt is delivered.

What does not make it delivered

  • The authority registering the change on a particular date.
  • The anti-export device working, which is separate work with its own quote.
  • The decision to stop exporting turning out to be profitable for you.

How it works

This is the route of a battery case, the one with the most steps. All five follow the same order: you tell us the case, we check it and give you a price, your installer carries out and certifies whatever has to be built, we file the modification and the authority processes it. When the change is purely administrative, such as starting to export to the grid, the installer step does not exist.

  1. Step 1Your part

You tell us which battery you have or are about to fit, and send us the original file.

We need: Original file, technical datasheet of the battery and details of the inverter.
  2. Step 2We do this

We classify the battery architecture, review the documentary impact and give you a firm price for your case.

    Our turnaround: 3 working days

Counted from: Receipt of the file and the battery's technical datasheet.

We do not promise: A price before we know what architecture your storage has.

  3. Step 3Depends on your installer

The company carrying out the work issues whichever installation certificate applies.

We need: The certificate from the installer who carried out the work, where the case requires it.
  4. Step 4We do this

We update the diagram and the documentation, and file the modification.

    Our turnaround: 5 working days

Counted from: Acceptance of the quote with the technical documentation complete.

We do not promise: A decision date from the authority.

  5. Step 5Depends on the regional Industry office

The authority processes the modification of the file when it gets to it.

The timing is set by the authority. We do not commit to it.

What we need from you

Almost everything depends on two things: what your file says today and what equipment is on the installation now. This is what we ask for in each case before quoting.

You have added a battery

  • Original file for the installation
  • Technical datasheet of the battery and its management system
  • Details of the inverter, and of the new one if it is being changed

You have changed the inverter

  • Original file for the installation
  • Technical datasheet and certificates for the new inverter
  • Details and certificate of the company carrying out the replacement
  • Details of the original inverter

You have added more panels

  • Current file for the installation
  • Number and power of the modules being added
  • Make and model of the inverter, with its rating plate

You want to start exporting to the grid

  • Current file for the installation
  • Installation certificate, technical report or project, depending on your case
  • CAU, your self-consumption reference
  • Details of the inverter and the anti-export system
  • Date your grid access contract started or was last modified

You want to stop exporting

  • Current file for the installation
  • Inverter details: make, model and firmware version if you know it
  • CAU, your self-consumption reference

An up-to-date single-line diagram and your installer's certificate are not required to start, but if you have them they save the slowest part of the work. And if you cannot find the file, tell us: we begin by locating what is on record.

What does not depend on us

Our own turnaround appears above, in each case, and it is counted from a verifiable fact. What comes afterwards is someone else's time, and it is kept separate on purpose.

The regional industry authority, Generalitat Valenciana

That the modification is registered in your installation's file.

No date commitment on our side.

Your distribution company

That your installation's details are updated in their systems where the modification affects them.

No date commitment on our side.

We commit to filing a complete application and following it through. The decision date is set by the authority, not by us, so we do not promise it.

Special cases, and where the scope stops

These are the situations that take an engagement out of the standard scope. If one of them appears, we stop, we tell you and we issue an extension before touching anything.

  • If the original installation was never legalised, this is not a modification but a regularisation, and it is quoted separately.
  • If a mandatory technical project, an inspection by a control body, required access and connection permits or a planning issue appears, the standard scope stops and an extension of the engagement is issued.
  • If the inverter change comes with a battery, a change of mode or a change of power, the higher scope that applies is used instead.
  • If the installed model does not have the technical documentation required, the file stops until it is obtained or until a decision is taken about the equipment.
  • If the final power exceeds 10 kW, this service does not apply and the case moves to a full project with site supervision.
  • If the starting file does not exist or is incomplete, the installation has to be regularised first and extended afterwards.
  • If you are still inside the minimum commitment period that governs the change of mode, the engagement is not accepted until it can be done.
  • If a physical modification, a mandatory technical project, an inspection by a control body, required access and connection permits or a planning issue appears, the standard scope stops and an extension of the engagement is issued.
  • If the anti-export system does not have the conformity documentation your case requires, the file stops until it is obtained.
  • If an additional physical modification, a mandatory technical project, an inspection by a control body, access and connection permits or a planning issue appears, the standard scope stops and an extension of the engagement is issued.

The most expensive mistake in this family is the order of things. Checking an inverter's technical documentation before buying it costs an afternoon; doing it after fitting can mean taking the unit down again. The same goes for an extension: the final power is calculated before the order is accepted, not after.

Frequently asked questions

Does a battery have to be registered?

Adding storage changes the installation, and the file describes the installation. Which modification applies depends on the architecture: an AC coupled battery is not the same as a DC coupled one with a new hybrid inverter. That is the first thing we classify.

Does the installer fitting the battery not do this already?

Often yes, and often it is already in their quote. Ask them before hiring us. This service exists for people who had a battery fitted without that support, or who can no longer count on it.

What if my original installation was never legalised?

Then this is not a modification. We tell you, we stop, and we quote the regularisation separately, because you cannot modify a file that does not exist.

If the new inverter is equivalent, does anything have to be done?

The file describes specific equipment, so even if the power is the same the paperwork has to match what is installed again. The equivalence review is exactly the first step of the work.

Can I fit any inverter model?

Before buying it, it is worth checking the model's technical documentation. Doing that first costs an afternoon; doing it after fitting can mean taking the unit down again. If you call us in time, that check is part of the service.

What happens if the extension takes me over 10 kW?

Then it stops being this service. Above 10 kW the procedure changes and a full technical project with site supervision is required. That is why the final power is calculated before the order is accepted, not after.

Generalitat Valenciana, procedimiento 18168 de instalaciones de autoconsumo hasta 10 kW. Checked on .

Can I change my self-consumption mode whenever I want?

Not always. Changing mode has timing rules tied to the date your grid access contract started or was last modified. It is the first thing we check, and if you cannot do it yet, we tell you before accepting the engagement.

Does €349 include the anti-export device?

No. That price is engineering and filing. The device, its installation, its metering and its configuration are quoted separately, and in some cases they cost more than the procedure itself. We would rather say so up front than discover it halfway through the job.

Tell us what you changed and we will tell you what applies

With the file and your equipment details we work out which of the five cases is yours, tell you whether hardware is involved and send you price and scope in writing. All of that happens before anything is charged.
